ROAD TRIP

The last thing we did after emptying our house, but before getting in the truck to hit the road ... was running around the dog park. We wanted to get some exercise in for Duke. He had been so so good through everything (AKA a ton of people through my house) and we knew he would be in the truck for the next 4+ days.

Exhausted and muddy ...

We drove through all different types of our country. Mountains, desert, fields .. you name it.

Duke got a new bone, which made HIM very happy.

We ate a ton of Subway (Yay for Christmas giftcards .. thanks Ma!)

We saw many a state line ...

Took a few selfies ...

Had a nap or two ;)

 Drove through Texas for what felt like weeks ...

Got comfy...

 Took a few pics ...

Saw a pick up truck - semi in Texas ...

Stayed in 4 hotels ...

Saw the beautiful Mississippi River ..

 Visited Sweet Home Alabama (sorry bad pic)

Hit about a million "Love's Travel Stops"

And finally arrived at our new home .... Welcome To Camp Lejeune

Getting Ready

Getting ready for the move there was lots to do.

First there was purging,

Packing ... getting things we would need with us in the new house right away ... things we could send with the movers ... I'll write a separate blog post about the way I PCS ... I've only done it twice, but I'd like to say I have a system :)

MCCESS BBQ & Graduation

The boys had a BBQ to celebrate the end of their classes in Twentynine Palms, just a few days before they graduated! 

January 27, 2015 - Graduation Day!
Jeff graduated with two awards .. one of which being 100% through all of school here. My husbands kind of awesome.

Las Vegas (in January)

In between my last post and now, a lot has happened but I don't want to do one big catch up post because I'll miss so much .... So, I'll start with our AMAZING Vegas trip with Missy and Roy!

We hit the road and drove our 3 ish hours to Vegas, checked into our AMAZING hotel (ARIA) with an INCREDIBLE view. Our room was as big as our house in Twentynine. I'm not joking. Then headed to Paris for dinner ... right across the street from the Bellagio fountains.

The view was awesome and the steak ... best I've ever had! 

#chaitealatte ... Starbucks IN our hotel! 

Saw the "Carlos Bake Shop" in the Venetian .. you know, the Cake Boss?!

Enjoyed a bath EVERY DAY ..

EARL OF SANDWICH? WHAAAAAAAAT!

The most incredible show ever ... HIGHLY recommend "LeReve" at the Wynn!

The pillows, were marshmallows .... I'm pretty sure. 

We had SUCH a great time ... lots of roulette and black jack played ... we didn't win anything :( but it was so so much fun to do Vegas with Jeff, Missy and Roy!!!
