Sunday Funday ... Downtown Disney!

Since we were in Anaheim this weekend for the game ... and had time to kill (all day) Sunday, before picking up Jeff's buddy from LAX ... we decided to check out Downtown Disney!

 It was very "Disney-esque" .. we loved every minute of it. I only wish we could have seen Mickey! They have the coolest shops here. I even loved looking around Goofy's Candy Co. and not buying anything! They have the coolest Disney specialty treats like marshmallows put together to look like Olaf from Frozen, or Mickey shaped caramel apples. I had a blast just looking at all of them!

We accidentally found the entrance to Disneyland!! EEEeeekkkkk!!!  Little did we know, it's all connected here in California! Very cool to see the signature train station, right here behind us. We wanted to go in SO bad. We already can't wait to go in September. ::Are we there yet?!::

We also LOVE Earl of Sandwich. We totally blew the diet for this .. #worthit
The only Earl of Sandwich they have back home in Michigan, is in the airport. We only get this once a year when we go to Disney WORLD in Florida OR if we travel out of the right terminal. We were beyond excited :)

We had such a good time walking around Downtown Disney, getting a sneak peak of a few hotel lobby's and getting a YUMMY dinner ... but we were also happy to get back to our new home!

A Tigers Awesome Wedding Gift

For {our wedding} three of Jeff's sisters, and their significant others all went in on a Tiger's weekend for us! What a crazy awesome gift for some major Tiger's fans, right? I know!!

We got a hotel room at The Fullerton, a gas card and some *incredible* seats at the game!

Hello Goodbye I'm Late I'm Late I'm Late

[Hello, Goodbye, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late ... think Alice in Wonderland]

My Monday morning started like this .... a text from Jeff:

SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!! I pretty much died reading this. Are you serious?!

He was flying from MCT in North Carolina to his MOS school in California... and had a lay over here in Detroit!?! What!!

So ... I got a military family gate pass and I was ready to go. Just like he said in the text, he had a lay over at home for about an hour!

I met him at the gate with his dad and his sister ... he was the last one off the plane and everything was right in the world again for one hour.

It sounds so sappy as I write it. It is sappy, get over it. It's hard being without him! haha.

His flight landed and he got to the gate around 6:35 pm and then he was one of the last ones to board his next flight to CA around 7:55 pm .... {they boarded late ... heyyy!!}

We got more than an hour together, really. We just keep saying that "God is really looking out for us" and I know that none of it is a coincidence. He was home for Christmas ... with extra leave. Now this surprise lay over, all when we didn't know when the next time we would see each other would be.

Like I've said in posts before, he has his phone back now and that is making such a huge difference. Between Facetime, text messages and phone calls it is soooo much better than it's been.

So ... "how was it?" It was amazing, incredible, a blessing, so much fun, hard, sad, difficult, painful and all over just as soon as it started. We agreed though that we can't let this saying "goodbye" make things harder, because it was borrowed time. We weren't even supposed to get it.

Project Life (July 4 - July 10)

Welcome!

The first part of this week we were in California and I'm actually missing TWO pictures this week (shame on me!) but hey ... such is life.

Happy 4th of July from Angel Stadium! Anehiem, California! Tigers vs. Angel's game in California - awesome!

This flag was the size of the entire outfield once they were finished spreading it out .. it was incredible.

Tuesday Jimmy's buddies came back into town from their weekend away. They had so much alcohol left over that they couldn't bring it on base! Here it all is ... being stored for them ;)

Wednesday we flew all day ... got home and went straight to Jeff's softball game. No pics but I will do something cool with our boarding passes in the album.

Thursday I took Ella to get her hair cut at Snip It's on our day together. She was SO good and kept saying "its soooo relaxing" ... dude your four years old and hilarious.

Friday I stamped, addressed and mailed all of my invites for a show I have scheduled for the end of the month - with the help of my mom of course :) We had fun doing it and now these pretty invites will stand out in the mail!

Saturday Andy, Joann, Mason and Taelor had us over to their new house for a House Warming Party/BBQ!
Here they are as a family in front. SO cute.

Sunday - no picture can you believe this!?! Sunday we went to Ryan and Lisa's BBQ, Kohls and cleaned Jeffs room. We went swimming until midnight and he finally had to go home because he had to work the next day! (Oops  - we stayed up too late)

Project Life Tuesday participants!

Project Life (June 27 - July 3)

Hey! Here I am playing catch up .. we were out of town for the 4th Of July! It was GREAT!

Monday night I babysat Maddie and Cullen last minute - awesome!! Here they are brushing their teeth before bed.

Tuesday I ran errands almost all day. I made my mom breakfast, took dad the lunch he forgot on the table, took mom to this Re|Purpose store she has been wanting to check out, went to the bank ... etc. then it was time for the POOL :)

Wednesday, our friend and my hairdresser gave me tickets to the Tigers game! She has season tickets and couldn't make it to this game and didn't want them to go to waste! We stayed until the end (loosing) and even got to see Don Kelly's first (and most likely only) Major League appearence as a PITCHER! Sweetness.

Thursday I had the pleasure of hanging out with these lovely ladies. It was my Thursday with the girls and this week we had a guest :) Chloe hung out with us we did a whole list of things: Bank, Park, The Green Store, Lunch with friends and swam  ... over all - a VERY good day!


Friday was the day we packed and got on a plane to California! *no picture*

Saturday we woke up in California and got breakfast near downtown San Clemente .. we got a personalized tour (from Jimmy) of the base and then hit the beach!

Sunday we hit the beach at sunset - I can't remember what we did specifically that day ... but it was FUN!
note: Yes - I know Jeff is back there ...

Land That I Love...

 

Tonight Jeff and I are heading to California! We can't wait to see Emma and Jimmy .. and their new home! Have a safe and relaxing 4th of July weekend everyone!
