Getting Ready For A Road Trip!

Road trip time! It's time to move! Finally!! I get to go live with my husband .. are you for real?!

Monday, mom and I spent the day running errands and getting things done before Jeff got here. We went and got our air mattress, cleaned my ring, went to the bank, dropped off the last of my Salvation Army bags .. And cancelled my gym membership. Fun right? Ah well, it needed to be done.

Monday night I had a going away get together. Friends, family, church family .. Lots of people stopped by to say goodbye! I'm proud to say that I don't have a single picture from the night. I was completely in the moment and spending time with my people .. And not worrying about pictures for once (ever).

Tuesday morning I picked Jeff up from the airport bright and early! We had a TON to do. The Marine Corps will only set up one pick up for our boxes and that has to be Jeff's address. We had to get all our gifts and boxes etc over to his place. We also had to get the truck paperwork all transferred into his name and buy new tires for the truck too. It was a couple of long days of lists and packing and moving things around. BUT in the evening Jeff's family came over to my house and we got to hang with both families. We had such a great time and best of all we didn't have to choose! We had the best of both worlds!

Wednesday morning we had more finishing up to do ... And we ALSO went to the Tigers game with Jeff's family! It was both of our first Comerica Park game of the season. I have to say, I'm SO glad we got to do this ... It might be a while before our next game. We went to celebrate Grandpas 93rd birthday. We had a GREAT time, and I actually have pics!

Totally photobombed by my sister-in-laws boyfriend! Hey Seth!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!!

Wednesday night we had everyone over to Jeff's parents house.
Again having such a nice time, with both families together. A few people stopped by to stay our last goodbyes. I actually had to say goodbye to Emma (sister) and my dad because we were supposed to leave while they were at work the next day.

Thursday during the day it was time to hit the road .... More later :)
Love,
Tara

FLASHMOB for Emma and Jimmy's Anniversary!

My sister and bother in law were married 4 years ago, June 14th! {Flag Day!}
He was being deployed to Afghanistan. They had a nice courthouse wedding and dinner afterwards to celebrate their marriage but had to forgo a traditional wedding because of the circumstances.

So ... my aunt had the idea to do a flashmob and surprise them on their anniversary this year! We've always wanted to do something special for them ... so here it was!

Here we all were at the studio practicing the choreography! Many night were spent practicing to get this thing Jusssst right!

We all waited not so  patiently around the corner to get going! We had to hide so it was a surprise. What's a flashmob without the flash?!

It all went down in Downtown Plymouth. We had a BLAST. You can't really see them, but my sister and brother in law are sitting on the fountain and everyone is kind of facing them doing the dance! First all the dancers were doing it and at the end our friends and family came around and you could see E&J's faces change.. "whaaaaaaat???"

Emmas face: "whaattt??!!!"

Tons of family and friends came to celebrate with them in the backyard!

 Cheers!

We're Adopting .... A National League Team!

When we were in San Diego (2nd trip) we wanted to get to a Padre's game ...
You know, to cross off another MLB stadium off of our bucket list!!

So, we've decided! We're adopting .... a National League team as our own! The San Diego Padres! We will always love the Tigers .. but we are officially Padre's fans (second)! It was an easy choice really, no matter what we can't be LA fans. It just wouldn't be right.

Hello Petco Park!!

The boxes in the gate were full of '84 jerseys that they were giving away FREE to everyone as they entered the game later that night!!! Fun fact: These were the jerseys that the Padre's wore in the 1984 World Series game when they lost against the Tigers!!

Side note: My husband is SO handsome ..

Okay, back on track.. we also hit up Mission Beach and Sea World! SO MUCH FUN!!!
