A Care Package!

Our mailbox has been filled with love from our friends and family back home ... it has been SO nice to have our fridge covered with cards and pictures :) It makes us feel like we aren't so far away!

This morning ... our mailman brought us something else :)

A CARE PACKAGE full of goodies from my mom!!!

- Detroit shirts (One Tara size and one Jeff size)   :)
- Papercraft magazines for card making inspiration
- Detroit coasters (Vernors, Saunders, Buddy's Pizza and Detroit Tigers)
- A paper cutter, for my photo project!
- MIO (can't get enough!!!!)
- Cute cupcake papers with little decor
- "Love you guys" sign
- Cardstock and envelopes
- Lemon peel (I was asking mom this week if I could leave it out of a recipe, to save money and then I wouldn't have to buy it for just this one dinner I'm making ... such a sweet Momma!!!)
and last but not least ...
- My CPR and First Aid certificates :) haha

We had the best time opening this care package and we can't wait to use everything ...

Thank you, Mom!!! We love you!!! 

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

So ... I've been trying to be good. Not buying things to bake. But, I want to bake! (insert whiny voice here)
I finally have my OWN kitchen .. and my OWN Kitchen Aid and all I want to do is bake! :/ Being healthy and craving the baking ... TOUGH STUFF!!

So not having things to bake + having lots of time on my hands ... I found this recipe from Barefeet In The Kitchen for "Old Fashion 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies" 

I cut the recipe down and used:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 Tbsp egg beaters

15 WW points total ... I didn't have to shop ... and I got 6 cookies out of the deal! 3 points each. Umm ... one magically disappeared before I took this pic! No idea where it went ;) ;)

New Dresser!

This weekend Jeff had to work so I kept busy ... Jeff's friend let me kidnap him to go look at a dresser in the next town over ... I found it on Bookoo.

Little did that guy know, I was only going to pay him $50 less than he asked :) Ha!

We didn't have a dresser and have been making do with our closets ... but I need to put OTHER things in those closets (my goal of getting moving on that guest bedroom of boxes). Clearly we needed something!

The boys came over that night after Jeff got off work and I made Orange Beef & Broccoli for everyone .. and in return they helped get the new dresser upstairs! Win, win!

I got a deal!
We are getting rid of the small black TV stand, I just haven't moved the cable box and DVD player yet.

Lizard Duel

Thursday afternoon, I was minding my own business in my own house ... when I found that someone let themselves in! Uninvited I might add!

This guy:

You should have heard his nails on my floor. I get chills just thinking about it. EEEEEEEEww! He hid underneath the oven for a while. I thought to myself, "okay well I can't leave now! There's a lizard loose in my house!" So I chased him out and trapped him under a bowl. A lizard duel had begun.

Every time I lifted up the bowl, he would run back towards me instead of out my front door! I grabbed a folder we had handy and flung him out. While flinging him out ... I smacked my head on the door and got this WICKED knot on my head. Awesome.

I still can't decide if the lizard won or I did!
